Even at the corners of the radiator that are not directly covered by the fan blades, there is only a small amount of air movement through the cooling fins. By mounting the fan shroud, the distance between the fan blades and the radiator is increased. This allows an air cushion to build up in this intermediate area. The dead spot below the fan hub is eliminated and the corners of the radiator are better supplied with cooling air. The cooling performance can be noticeably increased, especially with silent fans with low speeds. Decoupling and reducing volume The soft fan shrouds decouple the fans from the radiator frame as much as possible. This means that hardly any vibrations are transmitted and the noise level is reduced. The greater distance between the fans and the cooling fins also ensures less direct air turbulence on the fan edges and radiator fins. This also contributes to a reduced noise level.
